Eating has become such a habit that we eat when we’re bored. Often enough, we eat more than our body needs. You may be wondering how it’s possible not to eat during the Neera Detox Programme and still continue with your job. Won’t you be feeling hungry and weak? Although the most challenging part of this programme is to fast, sabotaging hunger pangs or crankiness will not appear when you follow the steps as instructed. Going without food is much easier than you think with Neera Detox, but like any health programme, you will require the willpower to help you get started.
How to make Neera Drink
To make one glass of Neera Drink, simply mix the following:
- Two tablespoons (20 ml) of Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup
- Freshly squeezed juice of half a small lemon (20 ml)
- Half a pinch of Cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
Add the ingredients into a glass containing at least 300 ml of pure water. The delicious Neera Drink can be served hot or cold.
Pre-Mix your Drink and Save Time!
What’s really handy is that a batch of the Neera Drink can be pre-mixed at the start of the day, making it really convenient to stay on the Programme. To make eight glasses of the Neera Drink, mix the following in a container of 2.4 litres of pure water:
- 160 ml (16 tablespoons) of Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup
- Freshly squeezed juice of 4 small lemons (160 ml)
- ¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper or adjust to taste
How much Neera Drink you need may vary depending up on your constitution, lifestyle, activity and climate. Find the ideal amount for you, and pre-mix it for a daily batch. Drink 6-12 glasses a day and have a glass whenever you feel hungry throughout the day.
Organic Neera Detox Tea
The success of the Programme hinges on the proper elimination of toxins from your system, and our special blend of tea is important for eliminating accumulated waste matter in your stomach and intestinal track. To ensure that toxins are eliminated properly, drink Neera Detox tea when you wake up in the morning as well as before bedtime
To make Tea
Steep tea bag in a cup of hot water for 2-3 minutes to make a light laxative tea. We recommend increasing steeping time gradually, a minute each day, during the Programme to increase the laxative effects of the tea as you become more accustomed to it. As our tea contains a small percentage of Senna, it has a light laxative effect. If you are sensitive to Senna, try a salt water flush in replace of the tea.
Breaking the Fast
As George Bernard Shaw once said “Any fool can go on a fast, but it takes a wise man to break it properly.” So, plan your transition back to normal diet wisely! Your digestive system has been at rest for several days, so plunging into normal diet may shock your digestive system, liver, and kidneys. The key is to gradually introduce foods systematically. For short fast of 1-4 days, take 1-2 days to break your fast. For 5-10 days, take about 2-3 days to normal diet. Below is a sample schedule on how to break your fast properly. If you intend to carry out the programme for more than 10 days, your transition to a normal diet is half the length of your duration on the Programme. The longer your fast is, the more care you should take when resuming normal eating habits.
Sample of a schedule of breaking a fast properly:
Day 1 after your fast:
Start with fresh fruit juices and fruit. At the end of the day, have vegetable puree or broth.
Days 2-3:
Drink juice and have fruit, salads or soup. Eat steamed vegetables or brown rice at the end of the day.
Day 4:
Begin introducing carbohydrates and protein. Resume normal diet.
